Automation Technician Apprentice

The Automation Technician apprentice, under close supervision, will maintain automation equipment in line with health & safety, operational and quality work instructions, procedures, and policies to ensure the production of quality products in a timely, safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
Key Responsibilities and End Results: Complete Automation Technician apprenticeship, completing all phases both onsite and in classroom-based training with IBEC. Provide technical support function for manufacturing operations. Troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Support maintenance of accurate computerized records as part of the company's preventive maintenance program. Work both autonomously and cross-functionally with Production, Operations, Engineering Support, Quality, and Facilities. Observe all health and safety requirements including LOTO procedures and maintain any work area in a neat and orderly condition. Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives. Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes. Ensure compliance with all learnings from all GMP training events. Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position. Job Specifications: The minimum education and experience required to perform this job competently.
Leaving Certificate and/or ETB approved pre-apprenticeship course Skills/Attributes: Good manual dexterity A meticulous attention to detail A basic level in computer literacy An enthusiastic approach to learning Ideally some experience in metal work Good problem-solving skills
