As a service Writer you will be the face of our auto repair shop, responsible for communicating between customers and our technicians. Your role will be to ensure an excellent customer experience by accurately assessing vehicle issues, providing estimates and keeping customers informed throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities: Greet customers and gather detailed information about their vehicle concerns. Document customer requests and vehicle issues ensuring accurate work orders. Provide cost estimates and explain the repair process to the customers. Communicate with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure timely repairs. Monitor repair process and update customers on their vehicle's status. Handle customer inquiries. Maintain organized records of work orders. Recommend additional services based on manufacturers scheduled maintenance. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Previous experience as a service writer, service advisor, or similar role in an auto repair shop or dealership setting. Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repairs (ASE certification is a plus). Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer systems and repair shop management software. Valid driver's license.
