Dromoland Castle Hotel is currently recruiting for an experienced Bar Supervisor.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in a 4* or 5* property.
You must be passionate about people, about maintaining and driving standards and providing superb guest service.
Overview of Role: Working schedule is Monday Sunday with a variety of shifts, due to the nature of our business, flexibility is required.
Ensure effective and efficient running of the Cocktail Bar, Drawing Room and Gallery for all beverage service.
To liaise with Senior Management ensuring that these areas have sufficient equipment, resources to meet business demands, serviced and in good working order.
To assist Room Service/Restaurant staff in efficient running in food service in the Cocktail Bar, Drawing Room and Gallery.
To control costs within these areas ensuring effective controls of costs, i.e.
labour, cost of sales, departmental expenses.
Maximise all sales opportunities in order to achieve budget - devise an upselling plan for the Cocktail Bar.
Be actively involved in raising the profile of the Cocktail Bar departmentally, hotel and externally.
To work in conjunction with Senior Management in carrying out monthly stocktakes of the beverage area as required and investigate any discrepancies.
Actively involved in training and development of new staff in a hands on capacity.Training to include service standards and increase product knowledge, i.e.
whiskey, vodka and wine.
Ensure a good team ethos.
Candidate will need to meet the following criteria: Minimum of 1 year experience working in a 4* or 5* Must have excellent attention to detail.
Must be well organised and have a level of high service standards Have the ability to work under pressure.
Have a friendly, chatty, and outgoing personality.
