We are looking for a BIM Designer specialising in Mechanical services.

You will be creating and coordinating complex mechanical (including hydraulic) models whilst linking those models with all other disciplines in a single model environment so as to fully build our Data Centre projects digitally before breaking ground on site.You will be Red-lining and/or modifying new and existing plan set documentation regarding Mechanical systems. One of the best parts of the role is that Amazon has a global presence therefore domestic and international travel may be necessary. Team work is absolutely necessary for us to accomplish our goals. Working within the team, you will depend on others to accomplish the required work such as internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants including utilities, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

Preparing and developing detailed Revit models of Mechanical systemsUpdating and modifying existing models and drawing sets as requiredManaging the creation, issuing and revisions of drawings & modelsCoordinating of MEP services with all other disciplines to develop clash resolved models and export coordinated drawing sets from sameCreating and release data centre Mechanical designs and collaboration in a fast-paced environment to scheduled targetsWorking on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locationsWorking as part of an internal CSAMEP design teamProviding coordination support for information requests during construction phases About the team About AWS AWS values diverse experiences. Minimum Requirements: 5 years BIM/CAD experience in the area of Mechanical Building Design & servicesExperience using Revit to design and coordinate large Mechanical projectsWorking knowledge of building engineering and construction technologyExperience in developing Single Line schematics and layout drawings and understanding the relationship between bothExperience taking drawings from conceptual design through construction documentsGood understanding of Mechanical and/or Electrical systems and their configuration within data centresExperience in the establishment and management of BIM models including orientation, geo-positioning, coordination and the setup of review models.The exporting of embedded data and schedules to spreadsheetsSpecialist Diploma in Building Information Modelling with 8+ years' strong Revit/CAD experience in the area of Mechanical building services4+ years' experience designing mechanical systems on mission critical projectsExperience of modelling/drawing deliverables for Data Centres or other large facilities (Pharmaceutical, Fabrication Plants, Hospitals, etc.)Understanding LEAN EngineeringExcellent organization skills in archival & maintenance operations of project documentsOrganized and have the ability to set priorities and meet deadlinesBe a motivated, highly dependable & team player individualPossess excellent communication skills, attention to detailGood understanding of quality standards and national standards Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
