As part of this role you will be a part of highly creative and efficient CSA & Security BIM team tasked with tackling the most fascinating and challenging problems in designing, constructing, and operating Amazon owned Data Center facilities globally.
Key job responsibilitiesExecuting / maintaining Security and ICT (Information and communications technology) BIM modelsReviewing consultants Security and ICT models, ensuring Information Models meet AWS standards and are following the Exchange Information Requirements (EIR).Manage concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations, from design through construction.BIM Oversight of the Security and ICT aspects of the Data Center life cycle starting with design, construction, and maintenance of Data Center BIM models.A day in the life
As a BIM Designer, you will collaborate across disciplines and teams to refine data center designs. Your work includes creating detailed models, drawings, specifications, prototypes, and updating managers and leaders of changes to the building design. You engage in design discussions, review feedback from peers and collaborators, and adjust designs to ensure our data center solutions meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality.
Our BIM Designers are capable of working with minimal oversight, have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and maintain high working standards. Flexible to design changes, able to adapt to fast-paced drawing execution requirements, our BIM Designers define problems and dive deep on ambiguous design requests.
About the teamYou will work with our internal BIM Design Services Team, Internal Design Engineering teams and external consultants to innovate and drive standards during the design stage of projects, leveraging all aspects of the Model capability to deliver efficient coordinated designs to IFC stage.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years experience using Revit for producing Architectural or engineering models and drawings
- 3+ years of cumulative Design or construction experience in Mission critical or Industrial or Commercial projects
- 3+ years of cumulative experience in production of Security or ICT or electrical drawings.
- 1+ years experience using AutoCAD to produce drawings
- 1+ years of experience working with Navisworks.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Familiarity with Irish and BS standards with 3+ years experience of working with multidiscipline teams in a coordination role – shows strong ownership of projects, basic understanding of mechanical and electrical services.
- 3+ Years' experience of checking documents, specifications, and submittals. Ability to carry drawing standards through exploration, development, and into deployment/mass production.
- Experience directly related to Data Center design and construction
- Experience and knowledge applying Lean principles to design modeling and drawing production
- Proficient at analyzing building codes and safety regulations.
