BIM/Spatial Coordinator Role This is an excellent contract role opportunity with one of our clients, a World Class EPCM company, with offices based in Dublin and Cork.
Reporting to the Spatial Coordinator Lead, you will be responsible for communicates and works with the Project BIM Coordinator & Project Manager/Design Manager to ensure efficient management of design issues.
Assisting development of project 3D Model review strategy in coordination with Project Controls, Engineering and Construction and management of 3D Model development/review process as per project BIM Execution Plan and timely resolution of coordination issues.
Responsibilities • Management of multi-disciplinary services coordination and chair of internal and client coordination meetings.
• Conduct model review meetings, attendee lists, close out of comments.
• Control of the clash resolution/adjudication process using Revizto.
• Generation of summary metrics demonstrating review progress and timely issue resolution
• Liaise directly with the client BIM/Spatial co-ordinator to agree principles/typical details for disciplines to follow.
• Work with Project BIM team to run QC checks on disciplines modelling.
• Active contribute to the development and execution of the BIM Strategy in alignment with design delivery strategy.
• Actively collaborate with disciplines to avoid clashes and promote a culture of clash avoidance.
• Work with disciplines to resolve design issues prior to model reviews.
Requirements • Good understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering design process and deliverables.
• Experience in the use of engineering applications such as Navisworks, Revizto, Revit, Plant 3D etc.
• Knowledge of Process & Mechanical design documents e.g. P&IDs AF&IDs.
• Enthusiastic and results focused with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and strong attention to details.
• Progressive mindset towards innovation and technology enabled execution.
• Good technical and management skills including problem solving and decision making.
