Bookkeeper / Administrator

Due to ongoing growth in the Irish Market, my client, a Fire and Security installer, is looking to add a Bookkeeper / Office Admin to their team.

They are looking for a highly organised individual with a strong aptitude for accounts and administration for their busy office in Limerick City.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of MS Office, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and The Big Red Book or similar, and be able to work on their own initiative, meet strict deadlines and have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience.

Main Responsibilities: Update accounts receivable/payable, bank reconciliations, and data entry. Day-to-day processing of transactions, invoices, payment runs, and remittances. Maintain and update the status of accounts receivables and payables. Prepare weekly payments to employees and subcontractors, enter timesheets into the system, and maintain employee records. Maintain & administer all HR and Health and Safety records. Prepare and write quotations and contracts for clients. Maintain training records of all employees. Schedule regular maintenance on company vehicles & tools and ensure that all certification is up to date. Order materials & liaise with suppliers. Help prepare project documentation and keep project files up to date (work schedule, project specific certification, Health and Safety File). General and ad hoc administration and office duties. Position: The role involves office administration, bookkeeping, and payroll duties. Full-time position (5 days) on an initial 6-month probation period. The position is in-office-only. Remote working is not available for this position. Salary is dependent on experience level. Experience: An excellent understanding of bookkeeping and office administration. Excellent numerical/verbal reasoning & problem-solving skills. Competency to work both on an individual basis and as part of a team. Ability to organise and schedule own workload.
