Donohoe Drinks Company in Waterford are Ireland's oldest independent manufacturer of alcoholic beverages and we have recently joined the portfolio of companies under West Cork Distillers. We are a contract bottling, manufacturing and blending company, with over 125 years in the business and our flexible plant enables us to fulfil small quantities for specialist or premium products and high volume established brands.
We're seeking applications for the role of Bottling Operative based in our Waterford plant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, energetic company in this growing FMCG sector.
You will have good interpersonal skills and a "can do" approach to your work. This is a role where you will genuinely get involved in the day-to-day work and output of a busy client focused environment.
This is a permanent position and will involve working a two-shift cycle, Monday to Friday, alternating between day and evening shift each week.
As Bottling Operative you will: Label and package products Build products on correct pallets, ensuring they are built straight and in the correct configuration for stability during transportation Ensurie all procedures in relation to bottling from start of production to dispatch are followed Ensure all pallets are adequately wrapped and dust cap placed on top Ensure all records, bottle records, end of line checks and finished pallet records etc are completed in full and maintained at all times Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards, production and packing standards and governing legal standards are adhered to at all times without exception Ensure a high standard of housekeeping and hygiene is maintained Taking personal responsibility for ensuring that the plant is in an 'audit ready' state at all times paying particular attention to cleanliness, production records and security Monitoring condition of bottles, labels and packaging before, during and after production and inform QC of any issues Ensuring all procedures followed to guarantee traceability guidelines are maintained. Ensuring Forklift and pallet truck procedure is adhered to at all times Skills and experience required: Manufacturing background, preferably high volume Planning and problem solving ability Energetic and flexible, with a "can do" attitude Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
