Would you like to work for one of the busiest and most successful theatres in Ireland? The Town Hall Theatre Galway, owned and managed by Galway City Council, seeks a Box Office Manager.
Job Overview: The role of Box Office Manager involves providing customer service, cash handling, and ticketing services for the Town Hall Theatre, which includes the Town Hall Theatre, the Black Box Theatre, and Town Hall Studio. This position oversees the day-to-day staffing, operation, and customer service of the Box Office, including training, rostering, and management of staff. The role is integral to the Town Hall Theatre's senior management structure and requires a motivated and dynamic individual who can think strategically, methodically, and manage multiple priorities.
Minimum Requirements: Have attained a good standard of general education.Have proven organisational and administrative experience.Be able to work on own initiative and have excellent communication skills.Demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic.Possess good financial management skills/experience.Proven ability to manage human resources.Desirable Qualifications: Possess a third-level qualification relevant to the sector (preferably arts, culture, and/or venue related).Good knowledge of ticketing systems, ideally including Ticketsolve.Strong IT skills, including MS Office.Minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service-related industry.Excellent positive, efficient, and courteous verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, and to manage own time effectively.Available to work evenings and weekend shifts.Experience working in an arts, music, entertainment, or similar background.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with key partners.High standard of attention to detail, integrity, credibility, and reliability.Ability to use discretion in making decisions within the scope of the role and to liaise with line manager if guidance/assistance is required.Salary: €34,448 – €40,406. 39-hour week. Annual leave entitlement is 27 days per annum, rising to 29 days per annum after 5 years' service.
