Branch Manager - Mid-West Dublin - €65K

An established Builders Providers in Mid - West Dublin is looking for a Branch Manager to join their team.
The role of the Branch Manager will involve managing the operations of a busy Builders Providers and improving its overall performance across multiple areas.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES * Overall responsibility for the performance of the branch.
* Developing relationships with existing customers and new customers to maximize sales and business development opportunities.
* People management including the management, coaching and development of the team based in the branch.
* Assisting the branch team when needed.
* Maintaining high levels of customer service.
* Ensuring positive working relationships with group purchasing, central distribution and with suppliers.
* Stock management at the branch includes stock taking, cycle counting and reducing the levels of slow moving stock, as well as maintaining stock levels within targets.
* Monitoring and maintaining an efficient level of branch operating costs * Implement cost saving initiatives.
* Adhere to the highest standards of housekeeping across the business units.
* Ensuring that the shop is presented well from a merchandising perspective * Ensuring all mandatory health and safety training is completed and that the branch is a safe place for both staff and customers.
* Credit control when required * Ensure that appropriate local marketing campaigns are run in conjunction with the Marketing Team.
* Adhere to company policies in line with Finance, IT and HR.
* Attending Team Meetings with management IDEAL CANDIDATE * Relevant experiences in a Builders Merchants, Materials providers or construction * Excellent communication skills * Proven track record of improvement in shop/branch operations * Understanding of building materials and practices, and overall operations of builders merchants
