Role Introduction: Applegreen is in a rapid growth phase and is seeking to onboard a Brand Activation Executive who will support onsite marketing communications of the customer journey at our Applegreen sites.
This role will form part of the Marketing team and reports to the Brand Activation Manager and Head of Marketing.
It is an exciting opportunity in a hardworking, ambitious team where the candidate can excel and progress their career in Marketing.
The main responsibility of the role will be to look after the print, delivery & execution of marketing materials to Applegreen sites for promotional shop and food cycles, various Applegreen campaigns throughout the year and ad hoc print requests from regional and site management.
Another large part of this role is also supporting and building relationships with regional & site management across the business.
The ideal candidate will have had previous experience working in retail / FMCG marketing and has experience in the above.
Key Responsibilities: As Applegreen expands, the responsibilities will evolve and change over time.
The core responsibilities will centre around the following areas: Management of all signage & point of sale (POS) which is displayed on site.
This requires a close working relationship with our operations, trading & food teams to activate all offers effectively, including our 6-week promotional cycles along with reacting to Adhoc requests for signage or price changes that will come on a site-by-site basis.
You will be responsible for: Briefing the designer for artworks required Setting timelines and managing deadlines with our print supplier.
Managing approval process with internal stakeholders.
Communicating regularly with Regional & Site Management Act as brand guardian for sites, ensuring the brand is being presented correctly in our stores and on the forecourt.
This includes outlining a plan for sites needing branding upgrades; undertaking site visits to ensuring standards are being met; investigating & rolling out new concepts for hardware and improved POS solutions; etc.
Define and communicate best practice guidelines for sites to adhere by.
Liaise with regional & site management to ensure best practice standards are being met.
You will be the key link with our site colleagues, communicating marketing updates and managing site marketing requests.
You will also be responsible for feeding back any site issues to the support team in head office.
Maintaining our online point of sale ordering portal which sites use to order & create Adhoc POS.
Responsible for reviewing and printing of the trading catalogue and marketing POS booklet which are distributed with each cycle.
Support Marketing team with campaigns and input on site requirements (ie.
Allocation files, POS requirements, POS innovation, etc.)
You will also be required to support at external brand campaign activations.
All travel costs will be expensed.
Support on key Applegreen events throughout the year.
The Candidate should have the following: Qualifications, experience & skills Degree in Marketing or related field Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in a marketing role, preferably in a FMCG or retail business.
Works well with deadlines Team player, happy to support the overall Marketing team when required Excellent communication skills.
High proficiency in all Microsoft Office software also essential (Excel, PPT) Clean driving licence Additional Key Skills & Attributes: A dynamic individual who adapts well to change and can thrive in a rapidly growing organisation that continues to evolve.
Proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines.
A highly organised individual with ability to plan and prioritise workloads effectively for maximum impact and adapt around changing priorities as required.
Ability to execute at pace and delivery high quality outputs.
Excellent drive, enthusiasm and commitment and a keen interest in developing a career in Marketing.
A can do attitude and a positive solution focused mindset.
Has strong commercial acumen and a focus on delivering value to the business.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, and ability to engage and develop relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation.

Willing to travel ad hoc if required.
