Brightwater | Senior Accountant-Practice

A medium sized progressive firm of accountants in South Co. Dublin are seeking to add to their team a Practice Accounts Manager on a permanent basis.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years PQE within Irish practice and experience of managing a team.
The firm has a very well-established and diverse client base with excellent carer progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Production: 50% A certain amount of fee producing work including accounts prep, audit and Corporation/Income tax compliance work will be included.
This will be with the higher-level clients.
Bank submissions and negotiating with banks on terms, profit forecasting, budgeting, dealing with Revenue on specific queries/audits.
Undertaking ad hoc assignments from partners to free up their time (the amount and nature of this work will vary Managing accounts staff 50% Review of staff files, pre and post meeting (as required) Monitoring staff budgets during accounts work and ensuring budgets are met as best as possible.
Dealing with queries from trainees.
Allocation of work to accounts staff on a weekly basis Undertake year end meetings with clients (not immediately Promote the office where possible Initiatives that make the office run smoother, help the office staff work smarter, bringing your experience from other practices as well as new ideas that you may have.
Creation of and implementation of ideas that improve timelines in the work schedule, so clients get their information on a timely fashion.
Being aware of common bottlenecks & bridge the gap in the time we receive information to producing accounts.
Keeping yourself up to date with information and technical knowledge, being at the forefront of new rules and regulations.
Assisting in the general day to day running of the office.
Requirements: 2+ years PQE in a small/medium sized practice Qualified ACCA/ACA/CPA Team management experience Excellent communication skills Salary Salary of €60,000-€70,000 Coverage of professional subscriptions.
