Building Surveyor About the Role: Our client is seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join their team, renowned for delivering comprehensive building surveying services.
This role involves providing high-quality assessments for a variety of commercial and industrial properties, playing a key part in ensuring the success of multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities: - Conduct acquisition and building surveys for commercial and industrial properties.
- Prepare dilapidation reports and schedules of condition for both landlords and tenants.
- Perform planned maintenance surveys and develop strategies based on findings.
- Assess sinking funds to ensure sufficient resources for future maintenance.
- Address health and safety issues, including PSDP responsibilities and risk assessments.
- Carry out due diligence surveys and compile detailed reports.
- Conduct reinstatement cost assessments for properties.
- Analyse building pathology and defects, providing actionable insights.
- Undertake residential building surveys and prepare snag lists for residential and commercial properties.
- Evaluate disabled access and recommend adaptations for regulatory compliance.
- Issue fire safety certificates and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Conduct sustainability due diligence assessments to promote environmentally friendly practices.
Key Requirements: - Valid driving licence.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Degree in Building Surveying, Property, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Personal Attributes: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledgeable in construction methods, health and safety legislation, and building regulations.
- A proactive problem solver and collaborative team player with strong client relationship-building skills.
