Our client, an Irish company based in Dublin, are seeking to recruit a Bursar/Finance & Facilities Manager .
The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors in a hands-on and rewarding role.
General Financial Administration: Overall Financial Oversight: Administer all financial transactions, maintain budgets, provide reports, manage payroll and treasury, oversee insurance, and supervise finance staff.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure financial practices align with relevant guidelines and laws; provide accurate, timely financial information; work with auditors.
Advisory Role: Advise and assist management boards and sub-committees; attend relevant meetings and present reports.
Operational Assistance: Support Principals in day-to-day financial management; ensure payments are approved, budget-compliant, and well-documented.
Asset Management: Maintain an asset register and ensure financial governance and value for money through robust tendering processes and internal controls.
Day-to-day role includes: Budgets and accounts: Prepare annual budgets and regular management accounts Fees: invoice clients, manage fee collection.
Payments and Payroll: Process payments and salaries, administer pension contributions.
Fundraising and Accounting: Maintain fundraising records, ensure proper accounting practices, secure assets.
Procurement and Compliance: Oversee purchasing, ensure adherence to policies, and undertake additional financial tasks as directed.
Insurance: Ensuring the College is adequately insured and processing claims as required.
General Facilities Management: Building and Grounds Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep, security, and maintenance of buildings and grounds, including capital development projects and personnel.
Operations and Health & Safety: Manage daily operations and services, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Contractors: Appoint and supervise contractors as necessary.
Outsourcing: Review and supervise outsources services.
Policy Development: Draft policies for board approval, maintain governance standards.
Catering and Transport: Manage catering and transport services.
Letting and Insurance: Administer property lettings and manage insurance.
Safety and Maintenance: Supervise safety equipment, buildings, installations, and facilities.
Cleaning: Ensuring people and processes are in place for cleaning the buildings and grounds.
Staffing and Development: Staff Supervision: Deploy, supervise, and appraise finance and facilities staff; provide necessary training.
