Mayo Specific Purpose (9-month contract) Specific purpose 30 hours per week Reference 2024-179 Closing Date: September 03 rd , 2024 Job Brief The Bus Escort works closely with the driver for the purpose of meeting peoples' needs associated with their travel requirements.
This will include remaining alert to passenger safety and comfort throughout journey; access/operate, clamps, seat belts, fire extinguishers, medicine store, first aid kit, breakdown triangles and hygiene packs on transport; assist individuals on/off transport as required while promoting the rights, respect and dignity of people we support at all times.
Qualification Details No minimum level is required for Social Care Assistant positions Candidate Requirements Successful candidate will have experience in the area of facilitating and supporting people who have high and/or complex needs A genuine understanding and interest in working alongside people in effecting positive opportunities and change in their lives in a meaningful way The ability to listen, to see, and respectfully advocate for and on behalf of the individual with regard to their needs, preferences, rights, and dreams Have excellent communication skills and a clear understanding of teamwork with the motivation to deliver high-quality facilitation, working alongside individuals, their families, and other disciplines A strong belief in people's rights, inclusion, and equality Flexibility will be required from time to time to respond to service demands Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations is essential Good knowledge of IT skills is preferable Other Requirements Full driver's license is essential All applicants will be subject to Irish Garda Vetting & Reference checks All applicants from Countries outside the E.U.
