We are currently inviting applications for a Business Development Analyst to join our Business Development team within the Finance function. The role will support the identification of new business opportunities and formulate assessments of those opportunities. This is an integral part of the Musgrave strategy of Growing Good Business.
Key responsibilities include:Support the identification and assessment of new business opportunities through researching the domestic markets and competitive environments in which Musgrave operates.Provide accurate and relevant updates on competitive activity in the marketplace and potential changes in the economic environment.Develop evaluation criteria to target and assess potential acquisitions and mergers.Work with relevant stakeholders to support opportunity identification and deliver detailed assessments of opportunities to enable the decision-making process.Support due diligence of relevant potential business opportunities, preparing comprehensive business cases including financial evaluations of any proposed acquisitions.Co-ordinate internal workstreams as part of the wider business due diligence of any potential acquisitions.Work with the Insight and Innovation team and divisional teams to support innovation and business development opportunity identification.Provide some financial support to the development of implementation plans and post-acquisition matters including completion accounting, where relevant.Be a link to ensure that the team works closely across divisions and functions.The successful candidate will have/be:A relevant third-level business qualification or equivalent.Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a financial/commercial role.Financial analysis and interpretation experience.Commercial experience in Musgrave or external business environment.Ability to work on own initiative and strong attention to detail.Strong business writing skills and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.Experience in investment evaluations.Musgrave is an equal opportunities employer.
