We are the leading foodservice and hospitality provider across the Island of Ireland, and we are looking for a Business Development Director to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.
As Business Development Director you will have overall accountability for new business portfolio across Ireland.
You will generate new business, drive sales, and increase profitability to meet targets.
While working with the Sales, Growth and Operations team to ensure all 'steps of the scales' are effectively managed, internally & externally.
As Business Development Director , you will work to raise the profile of Compass Ireland within the industry sector through strategic engagement, attendance at events and forums and ensuring Compass Ireland is leading in its service delivery process to meet all guidelines and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies.
Analyse market trends to identify new business and growth opportunities across new and existing clients.
Identify and build on key business relationships with potential and existing clients.
Lead and manage the steps of the scale from CRM management right through to operational handover.
Work with Sales, Growth and Operations team to ensure all 'steps of the scales' are effectively managed, internally & externally.
Support regional and national bid opportunities.
Monitor sales performance metrics and analyse data to refine strategies and improve business retention.
Provide regular reports to senior management on business development, opportunities, and market insights.
Raise the profile of Compass Ireland within the industry sector through strategic engagement, attendance at events and forums.
About You: Proven experience in business development and/or sales within the catering/ hospitality industry Strong analytical skills and keen understanding of market dynamics Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to lead and inspire a wide team.
Ability to develop and nurture effective business relationships.
Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex multiservice tender opportunities.
Ability to produce high quality proposal and tender documents.
Ability to drive several initiatives at any one time.
Sound commercial understanding and in turn use this to develop winning and deliverable financial proposals.
A full driver license.
Willing to travel and commute as necessary.
