Hays has been appointed by this client to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their field sales team.
The geographical areas you will cover are Derry, Limavady, Coleraine and Portrush.This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who is keen to grow and develop a sales area within a thriving business.
Your new role As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of customers.
Generating new business opportunities to expand the portfolio.
Key account management.
Monitoring sales performance and activity levels and producing monthly reports.
In your role as Business Development Manager, you will produce business plans for customer portfolios to achieve annual sales and margin targets.
Work with Credit Control to ensure customers comply with the terms and conditions of trading.
Maintain price files and advise customers of increases, managing expectations to ensure business is retained.
Calling on customers on a regular basis, providing quotes, and ensuring that queries are followed up in a timely manner.
What you'll need to succeed As Business Development Manager, you will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering sales and margin targets.
Have the ability to develop strong relationships with clients and possess a flair for business development.
You will be highly organised, have strong negotiating skills and be an effective communicator.
Highly customer focused, you will be self-motivated and persistent with the drive to succeed.
Sales experience within the retail or catering industry would be advantageous.
