Job Title: Project Us Campaign Officer

Reports to: Political Engagement & Campaigns Manager

Terms: This role will be based in the Dublin 2 office location. This is a specified purpose contract to cover leave until September 18th, 2025.

Salary: GB 5 (€45,535 to €52,040)

Requirements: This role will involve working unsocial hours (including weekends) and travel around Ireland.

Role Purpose: The Project Us Campaigns Officer role works across the third level, adult education, and community sector on deepening engagement with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Concern's work on development, conflict, hunger, and climate through workshops and actions. The successful candidate will need to undergo garda vetting and must have a full clean driver's license.

Responsibilities: Designing and delivering workshops, webinars, campaign actions, and training sessions with adult learners (third level, further and higher education, community, and youth organisations) to develop understanding of SDG related issues and strengthen participants' capacity to act as global citizens. Delivering Concern Connect, Concern's 3rd level youth network; recruiting members, organising network events, and working across Concern to develop opportunities for participants. Organising and participating in external events to engage target groups. Inputting into content including social media, briefing notes, reports, blogs, and press releases on Project Us. Managing, developing, and growing relationships with third level organisations, the adult and community education sector, networks, and consortia groups. Supporting delivery and promotion of Campaign team actions. Working across the Campaigns Team, Global Citizenship team, and relevant Concern departments to further the work and outreach of Project Us and provide support to the wider team when required. Working with overseas organisations and programmes to ensure voices of youth in the global south are included in Project Us content/workshops. Data Management and Reporting: Be responsible for administrative aspects of the work including data collection and uploading on Concern's CRM system, monthly monitoring and evaluation and activity reports, event management, liaising with partners, scheduling events, and booking venues. All staff are responsible for upholding and promoting Concern's values, including our workplace equality, diversity and inclusion, and safeguarding values. All staff are required to participate and contribute as necessary towards Concern's emergency response as and when required. Role Holder Requirements: Essential: Proven campaigns experience with young people or similar group. A minimum of 2 years' experience in designing, delivering, and facilitating workshops and training with young people or adult learners. Experience of working with groups to develop knowledge and understanding of issues related to the SDGs such as conflict, climate change, gender equality, and hunger. Be a confident and effective communicator (verbal and written). Project Management & Event experience. Excellent communication. Experience with social media platforms and content. Proven relationship building & management skills. The appointee must be passionate about the values and goals of Concern and knowledge of Agenda 2030. A degree in International Development, International Relations, Social Sciences, Youth and Community Work, related discipline, or extensive equivalent experience. Be available to work unsocial hours (including weekends) and travel around Ireland. A full, clean driver's license. Desirable: Experience of delivering Global Citizenship Education programmes or projects. Knowledge of the international development sector. Keen awareness and knowledge of development and justice issues. Experience in political engagement.
