Care Assistant (Fixed Term - 32.5 hours) Location: Kildare Salary range: €26,432 per annum ( €15.64 per hour) Experience: At least 1 years' experience working as a carer or in a similar role / Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Social Care/Social Science/Care Skills/Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification Closing date: Fri, 15 Nov 2024 Description: SVP is a large, national, voluntary organisation with extensive experience of working with a diverse range of people who experience poverty and exclusion.

The Role: We are currently looking to recruit a Care Assistant to join our Children and Family team in Kildare Day Care Centre.
Co. Kildare.
The post holder will have responsibility to develop and deliver a programme of activities for clients in the centre on a daily basis, providing for the personal, physical, emotional and social development of the individual.
The post holder also delivers personal care to clients and works closely with management to ensure that the needs of our clients are being catered for on a daily basis.

Candidate Requirements: Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Social Care/Social Science/Care Skills/Healthcare Support or equivalent qualification is essential Understanding of health and safety requirements when working in this environment At least 1 years' experience working as a carer or in a similar role is essential Experience of working with the elderly or this age group in general Experience of planning and/or delivering a programme of activities, providing for the personal, physical, emotional and social needs of the individual Empathy towards the welfare and wellbeing of the more isolated and older members of our community Experience caring for people with mobility needs.
