Permanent Part-Time (35 hours Contract)
Navan Children's Respite Service Job PurposeThe Meadows is a well-established respite service providing short fun-filled overnight breaks for children in county Meath.
The role will be to support respite breaks for children with autism and intellectual disabilities.
You will support the manager and team leaders of a large dynamic team to provide a high-quality and child-centred service for all who attend.
Children are supported to enjoy new experiences and work on their independent living skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
What We're Looking For:Third-level graduate, Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable.
Minimum requirement of Fetac level 5 in social care or related discipline.Previous experience of working with people with a disability is desirable.An understanding of current regulations and safeguarding children is required.A full clean driving licence would be a distinct advantage.Your ResponsibilitiesTo support the children on their break in appropriate activities both in the community and in-house.To document information, update records, and complete necessary paperwork for communication and accountability purposes.
To take on keyworker role and liaise closely with children and their families to ensure a high-quality service for all.To ensure all interaction with clients is approached with dignity, respect, equality and incorporates choice.
To safeguard the children at all times.Closing DateFriday 17th January 2025
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign. Salary starting from point 1 €29,374.77 - point 5 €33,489.47 (pro rata), depending on experience and qualification.
