About the roleWe are recruiting for a Category Manager to join us and champion the voice of the shopper and customer both internally & externally.
The successful candidate will win in the market by enabling Kerry and its customers to adopt a shared category vision through tailored category development plans identifying category opportunities and optimising growth for Kerry Brands and its prioritised customers.
You will create and deliver category customer strategies which address consumer needs, influence shopper behaviour & drive category growth.
Key responsibilitiesTailored category vision, strategy & tactics in place that is reviewed, tracked and aligned with Business Unit goals.Clear growth plans & tactics defined to unlock Category & Brand growth across a top 5 grocery account.Documented plan, implement and review actions by category/sub category/range supported by customer, shopper, consumer, brand insight.Compile promotional analysis to direct both the customer and Kerry Foods on the most optimal promotional plan and strategy.White space opportunities defined & supported by compelling insights. Compile and deliver compelling category selling stories.Using insight and market trends to be a Key part of the decision making process across a number of natural working project teams.Delivery of DARE content to support continued development of the framework & overall Category team.Qualifications and skillsDegree level in Business or Marketing discipline – Desirable.First experience in a category or commercial role.Ability to input to and tailor category vision & strategies to engage internal and external contacts.Good capability in Analysis & Renovate.Knowledge of innovation platform/proposition development and activation of Own Brand.Knowledge of UK Customers & trade Channels & allocated Customers & their shoppers.Knowledge of shopper missions, mindsets & journeys in categories and channels.Ability to manage & prioritise Customer and internal work demands.Excellent relationship building & Customer facing ability & skills.Impactful and effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to influence and challenge thinking and decision making internally & externally.At Kerry, we believe in creating an inclusive and flexible work environment that empowers our employees across Europe.
