What you'll be doing...As a Category Sourcing Expert you will be responsible for handling the company's end to end sourcing operations within the CPE Sourcing team. The successful candidate will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.
Manage the certain subcategories within Verizon's Consumer Premise Equipment (CPE) space including negotiation contracts for both Product and Services. Maintenance of these contracts with amendments and change orders.Manage new technology Proof of Concept agreements for the Customer Experience Group, negotiation of agreements and providing sourcing support to the business group.Manage the company's Hardware Design and Development requirements, via RFX, negotiations and contracting covering corporate and business needs.Generate and implement efficient category management sourcing strategies, working with business clients to ensure strategies meet business needs.Analyze and calculate spending and work to decrease expenditure.Prepare and agree negotiation strategies, implement via contract negotiations and secure profitable deals.Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.Identify, estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques.Discover and partner with trustworthy suppliers.Ability to develop strong partnership relationships with business peers and clients.Proven history of successful contract management/agreement/negotiation.Team ethos with cross collaboration experience.What we're looking for...You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.Supply chain sourcing experience.Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Business degree in supply chain, engineering, or construction management. Ideally, an MBA.Sourcing experience preferable in the electronic manufacturing industry or the telecommunications industry.Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgment.Operate with internal & external stakeholders in a matrix environment.Strong Presentation skills. Be able to present to senior management.Contracting experience – drafting, negotiating and execution.Demonstrate creative thinking – solving problems by thinking out of the box.Strong project management and leadership skills – be able to interface with global colleagues.Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, proficient in Excel.Solid judgment with ability to make good decisions.Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP an advantage).BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration or other appropriate qualification.If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every "even better" qualification listed above.
