Site Manager - Logistics/Warehouse/Distribution Responsible to: Regional Operations Manager Overview The successful management of all operational matters, personnel, health and safety, plant, site and warehouse security, with a focus on logistics, transport, and third-party hauliers.
To effectively run the depot operations and contribute to achieving and maximising agreed budget Tasks: Contribute to the delivery of business targets, cash flow and budgets.
Organise and control the effective supervision of all operational key activities within the depot against the targets set.
Regularly report on results, agree and ensure remediable action where required.
Appraise train and develop staff both directly and through line managers.
Ensure through the transport, and warehouse staff that the site operates within company policy and legal requirements at all times.
Ensure that the site operates within the stated company quality assurance procedures.
Ensure the regular monitoring and delivery of customer service targets.
Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the appropriate line managers from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders skills and ability.
Manage third party hauliers and transport logistics efficiently Competencies: Working towards or member of appropriate professional body.
Appropriate Health and Safety qualification-IOSH CPC Certificate.
Safety Responsibility: Depot responsibility for all operational health and safety.
Qualifications: Achieved or working towards supervisory management qualification Interfaces and relationships: Customers, Suppliers, Staff, Senior Managers, Other Depot Staff, Auditors and Inspectors.
Skills: Ability to; - Develop and maximize a profit driven operation.
Strong leadership and team management abilities Organize and supervise the day-to-day operations of the depot.
Problems solve.
Prioritise, delegate and monitor.
