Interactive Brokers Group is looking for a hands-on and driven business analyst with a technical background who is ready to play a key change management role in our growing business entities. Reporting to the Head of New Accounts Projects, the candidate will be responsible for providing business and technical support on the consideration, design, and specification of a wide range of projects that stretch across the breadth of our business and effectively managing the change through to implementation. The candidate will support the Global New Accounts and Compliance teams to deliver their projects. This requires a flexible person who is interested in learning all facets of a brokerage business, quickly getting up to speed on the current process and then working to make material improvements, consistently exploring, analysing, and driving change to improve our business.
Responsibilities: Independently manage projects from the originating idea through the software development lifecycle to completion.Build relationships across our operational departments (including quality client service support) and understand what the team and our business need.Technical and numerical analysis, evaluation, and troubleshooting of existing systems and processes.Formulate proposals to improve processes and systems to meet the changing demands of our clients, business, and marketplace.Liaise with programming teams to make sure the solution is viable and fit for purpose.Test execution and test support of system changes.Pre-/post-implementation support with Operational teams (training, process engineering).Triaging system bugs, root cause analysis and coordinating resolutions with programming teams.Qualifications: University degree in engineering, computing or a related field is desirable.3+ years of Business Analysis experience – accreditation is a plus.Strong technology experience, i.e., with relational databases (SQL).Demonstrable Business-Level knowledge of process flow diagrams, business process modelling and design, driving discovery sessions with stakeholders, and writing detailed change specifications for programming teams.Knowledge of Change Management process and Project Lifecycles.Experience in regulatory, business and market risk analysis is a plus.Financial Services/ Brokerage or similar experience is a plus.Skills/Abilities: Can take ownership/accountability for a function/product.Ability to independently analyse, assess and drive tasks through to completion.Ability to extract and understand the core issues from the business request.Ability to write clear and concise functional requirements.Ability to manage multiple projects and processes with competing deadlines.Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priorities.Active listener with strong oral and written communication skills.
