The Galway Bay Hotel is seeking to recruit a  Chef de Partie to join our busy Kitchen team.

This is a busy but organised and well-functioning kitchen, and we are looking an individual who consistently demonstrates a passion for the preparation and presentation of excellent food.
Applications are invited from an experienced Chef de Partie who thrives in a busy environment.
You will be given the opportunity to work in a fast-paced dynamic kitchen where you will gain experience in Banquets, Cafe/Carvery, Bar and Grill.
You will receive on-going training with many opportunities to upskill.
Responsibilities: Contribute to the production of food items according to menu specifications Be aware of and prepared for the business in house every day Be familiar with the menu and with any "specials" of the day.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to agreed standards Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are prepared and presented to agreed standards.
Avoid unnecessary wastage and follow portion planning and control and to act in a cost effective, responsible manner.
Ensure excellent food hygiene practice is observed in the entire food chain from storage through to preparation and service.
Follow and adhere to HACCP compliance within the kitchen and all Food & Beverage outlets.
Ensure the kitchen equipment is in working order; report any maintenance issues to your supervisor Manage stock control and place orders.
Lead and support team members to ensure the kitchen always exceeds guest expectations by consistently producing quality food.
Requirements: Previous experience in a busy kitchen 1-2 years experience at Chef de Partie level Willingness to work within a team environment whilst using your initiative Fluency in both written and spoken English Good ability to handle pressurized situations and busy periods Flexible, innovative and adaptable As a member of the Hodson Bay Group, the Galway Bay Hotel thrives in providing many development opportunities for motivated driven & efficient employee's across all our departments.
