An exciting opportunity for a Chemical Production Operator to join Ortec Inc. in their brand new facility in Newcastle West, Limerick. This role will be based on a shift, and it's a permanent role. The Chemical Production Operator is responsible for overseeing all elements of personal safety, product quality, and production efficiency in manufacturing chemical blends/products according to customer specifications and timelines.
Role Responsibilities: Operate production equipment, monitoring process conditions, performance metrics, and control systems to make decisions that ensure desired production rates and conditions.Conduct batch manufacturing, including weighing and charging raw materials into vessels and tanks, and transferring products to storage tanks or containers.Complete raw material verification to ensure only approved and correct materials are used.Adhere to company policies, procedures, standards, and practices for safe and reliable operations; receive training on relevant cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements and apply cGMP principles in all tasks.Demonstrate excellent GDP (Good Documentation Practice) to maintain high standards.Work within a Clean Room environment.Train other employees on procedures as needed, with supervisor approval.Read, record, and interpret data from instruments, reactors, pumps, etc., making necessary adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operations.Understand and control key process variables affecting product quality and consistency; troubleshoot issues as needed.Safely operate forklifts, lifts, and hand trucks.Provide technical support and assistance to chemists and engineers.Accurately document data on batch records, graphs, and charts.Assist with inventory management to maintain material supplies.Support new chemical engineering processes or production techniques as required.Comply with all company and OSHA safety standards for work areas.Adhere to all applicable FDA and Quality standards.Role Requirements: Minimum – Leaving Cert or equivalent.Forklift experience is preferred.Previous experience in a GMP environment is essential.For a confidential discussion and more information on the role, please contact Alicja Burchardt.
