We deliver customized managed service solutions, allowing clients to have our expert team on-site at their own facilities or outsource those services to us here at CLS.Job Title:Chemistry Lab TrainerSummary and Reporting Structure: The Chemistry Lab Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering effective training programs for new and existing laboratory staff in analytical chemistry techniques, regulatory compliance, and laboratory best practices.
Reporting to the Lab Manager, the Chemistry Lab Trainer will play a vital role in fostering a high standard of technical competence, ensuring that team members adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and safety protocols.What's Important:Providing comprehensive, accurate, and practical training that meets laboratory standards and ensures team readiness for GMP and GLP environments.Developing training materials that align with current protocols, best practices, and regulatory guidelines.Evaluating trainee performance to ensure competency and compliance with laboratory standards, providing additional support where necessary.Building a positive training environment that promotes growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Job Duties:Develop, coordinate, and deliver training modules focused on core analytical chemistry techniques, including sample preparation, testing protocols, and equipment usage.Ensure that all training materials are up-to-date and in line with current Pharmacopoeia, SOPs, and regulatory standards.Assess and monitor the performance of trainees, providing guidance, feedback, and additional support to help them achieve technical competence and confidence.Collaborate with lab supervisors and managers to identify training needs and update content to reflect changing standards or gaps in skills.Assist in maintaining quality systems within the lab by training team members on GMP, GLP, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).Participate in the development, review, and updating of SOPs, test methods, and technical specifications (TS) for training consistency.Oversee the practical onboarding of new hires, including familiarization with laboratory safety, clean desk policies, and equipment maintenance.Support the scheduling and documentation of training sessions, maintaining detailed records for compliance and audit purposes.Conduct hands-on troubleshooting sessions and communicate technical issues and solutions to team members and stakeholders.Participate in self-inspection audits to ensure that training practices comply with regulatory and customer expectations.Assist in preparing and validating training reports and contribute to team meetings with insights from training sessions.Where You Come From:A third-level degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory role, with exposure to analytical testing and familiarity with GMP or GLP standards.Experience in training, mentoring, or coaching laboratory staff is a strong advantage.Strong foundation in laboratory quality systems and a passion for upholding high standards.Who You Are:An effective communicator with a knack for breaking down complex processes into easily understandable steps.A patient, approachable trainer who enjoys supporting others' growth and success.Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy, quality, and compliance.Adaptable and proactive, ready to adjust training methods to meet the diverse needs of team members.Passionate about creating a safe, collaborative, and results-driven work environment, contributing positively to CLS's success and growth.What We Can Offer:Opportunities for career development and progression in a dynamic and innovative environment.The chance to contribute to the development of cutting-edge products and processes that make a difference in patients' lives.A collaborative work culture that values teamwork, professional growth, and excellence in performance.Diversity and inclusion are essential to our mission and achieving our vision at CLS.
