We have a new and exciting internal opportunity within the chemistry team as a Laboratory Technician. You will be responsible for assisting the chemistry team to carry out various test methods for our customers.
To perform tasks as allocated by the Laboratory Manager/Supervisor to the highest standards of qualityTo manage the day-to-day implementation of Mérieux NutriSciences' Quality Management System ensuring compliance with ISO 17025, Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB), Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), Retailer Supplementary Audit Scheme (RSA) & company requirementsResponsible for good housekeeping standards within the laboratoryBe responsible for health and safety within the laboratory and escalate any issues to senior managementTo be a part of the Proficiency Testing (PT) programme as required by the Deputy/Quality Manager, ensuring that PT samples are analysed in a timely mannerSupport QA during (external) audits/assessmentsTo ensure that all results obtained are calculated, checked and entered in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) without delaySupport the team with method development and be involved in ad-hoc laboratory projects as they ariseYOUR PROFILE Minimum of 1 years' experience within a laboratory environment during college or in a work environmentThe ideal candidate must have a minimum bachelor's degree in chemistry, food technology and/or other related scienceSolid communication skills for creating interactive relationships with all teamsPositive, "can-do" attitude and a willingness to learnCustomer and employee-focusedStrong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlinesEntrepreneurial spirit and problem-solving skillsWHY JOIN US?
