Odgers Berndtson Ireland is delighted to be working with GS1 Ireland on the search for a Chief Executive Officer .

As a not-for-profit, neutral, standards development organisation supporting 4,000 members and licence holders in Ireland and more than two million globally, GS1 is dedicated to designing and implementing global standards and solutions to improve the efficiency and visibility of supply and demand chains worldwide.
Their standards are the most widely used in the world, enhancing efficiency, safety, and visibility across more than 20 sectors.

GS1 are seeking a dynamic and visionary CEO to lead GS1 Ireland.
The CEO will provide strategic leadership, drive commercial growth, and ensure the sustained financial success of the organisation.
This role requires a leader who can foster a culture of innovation, revenue generation, and business development.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic plan to advance GS1 Ireland's mission and objectives.
Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
Financial Oversight: Manage financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including members, government agencies, and the wider community.
Leadership and Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and develop the senior management team and staff.
Influence & Collaboration: Liaise with international standard-setting bodies and regulators, and pursue strategic relationships with key service providers and organisations.
The Individual: The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the market landscape, and a proven track record of delivering exceptional commercial outcomes within an SME.

Essential Qualifications and Experience: Commercial Acumen: Ability to translate strategic vision into tangible business results.
Proven Leadership: Experience in a senior leadership role.
Strategic Acumen: Strong strategic planning and execution skills.
Financial Expertise: Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.
Communication and Relationship Building: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Cultural Fit: Passion for the mission and values of GS1.
Desired Skills and Experience: Postgraduate / University degree in Management, Science, Engineering or Business Administration.
Future-Oriented Thinking: Strategic thinker with high-level planning and execution skills.
People Management: Proven leadership and management experience in a complex organisation.
Innovation and Development: Track record of innovation and developing new services in a technology environment is desirable.
Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and influencing skills.
