Chief Medical Scientist

FRS Recruitment are working with a hospital in Cork city to recruit a Chief Medical Scientist to oversee the laboratory's strategic and operational management.
The role involves ensuring ISO 15189 compliance, driving service development, and collaborating with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the laboratory team, driving service expansion.
Ensure compliance with ISO 15189 standards and oversee risk management.
Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Mentor and guide laboratory staff for professional development.
Support hospital accreditation processes.
Candidate Requirements: CORU-registered Medical Scientist.
Minimum seven years' post-qualification experience, with four in a Senior or Management position.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of ISO 15189 compliance and risk management.
Experience with JCI accreditation is a plus.
