Chief Medical Scientist

We are actively recruiting aChief Medical Scientist to join our client hospital at Cork, Ireland location to the laboratory management team in leading development of the team and expansion of service and hospital.
The multidisciplinary laboratory provides the opportunity to enhance your leadership skills and knowledge and collaborate cross-functionally in the hospital and the wider organisation.
Requirements: CORU-registered (or evidence of application in progress) medical scientist and eligible for Fellowship of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine Seven years experience in a medical laboratory post-qualification, at least four of which were spent in a promotional post Demonstrable mature and effective interaction with senior leadership and management Flexible, collaborative and committed to achievement of team and organisational objectives Patient-focused and influential with excellent communication skills Knowledge and experience of compliance with the ISO 15189 International Standard Knowledge and experience of risk management Experience of JCI hospital accreditation (desirable) Skills: CORU Registered Clinical Science Medical Laboratory leadership skills Management Skills Patient focused Good communication skills.
