We have a vacancy for a Chief Medical Scientist to join our laboratory management team. Our medium-sized multidisciplinary laboratory provides the opportunity to enhance your leadership skills and knowledge and collaborate cross-functionally in the hospital and the wider organisation. The post-holder will lead the development and growth of in-house microbiology testing to meet the needs of our clinical services.
Candidate RequirementsCORU-registered (or evidence of application in progress) Medical Scientist and eligible for Fellowship of the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine with seven years' experience in a medical laboratory post-qualification, at least four of which were spent in a promotional post in Microbiology.Experience of service development and ISO15189 accreditation.Demonstrable mature and effective interaction with senior leadership and management.Flexible, collaborative and committed to achievement of team and organisational objectives.Patient-focused and influential with excellent communication skills.Knowledge and experience of risk management.Experience of JCI hospital accreditation (desirable).To apply, please send your CV and cover letter by the 4th of December to Hilary Ryan, HR Department, ******.
