What's the role about Based in Ireland and reporting directly to the CEO of Paysend EU DAC, with a functional reporting to the CRCO of Paysend Group, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Risk framework for Ireland and beyond. You will become a leader and trusted advisor as we build Paysend into a leading licensed Financial Services brand across Ireland and Europe. In this role you will partner with colleagues across Paysend Group to design and operate a robust risk governance framework.
We support remote working within Ireland with some face time required in the office in Dublin.
What you'll be doing Provide the overall leadership, governance and management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate and monitor risks throughout the Company. Be responsible for all risk reporting to the Board of Directors. Work with senior management in making strategic decisions and planning, seeking to optimize risks in the organization. Monitor and ensure proper working of teams involved in risk management, including risk policy formulation and development, documentation of risk management procedures, and risk mitigation. Establish an integrated risk management framework for all aspects of risks across the Company. Develop risk management policies, including the quantification of the Company's risk appetite through specific risk limits. Implement a set of risk metrics and reports, including losses and incidents, key risk exposures, and early warning indicators. Support and drive incident management in the Company. Improve the Company's risk management readiness through communication and training programs, performance measurement and incentives, and other change management programs. Develop the analytical, systems and data management capabilities to support the risk management program. What you'll need to be successful in the role 5+ years of experience in the EU risk management field in FinTech industry, specifically in money remittance or other cross-border financial services, preferably with previous experience in the role of Chief Risk Officer in Ireland. Bachelor's degree in a business-related field. Master's degree is a plus. KYC software – Google suites, other standard office software. Risk management and assessment proficiency, including AML/CTF risks. Ideally, you'll also have: Experience of building the risk management framework in a startup / from scratch. Experience in incident management. Experience of being approved by the Central Bank of Ireland as a Chief Risk Officer of a financial institution. Excellent understanding of Paysend business.
