Deputy Manager - Pembroke Hours: 42.5 Hours
Salary: €17.00 - €19.05 per hour
To be the Deputy Manager and senior member of the childcare team. Combining the practitioner role with the management role and taking responsibility for ensuring high quality and best practice standards are maintained at the service. To work in close cooperation with the Manager and staff team.

Ensure all issues and actions are recordedSupport the Manager to develop the service to its full potential ensuring that all opportunities in sourcing additional funding are enabled and applications completed timelyKeep up to date on matters relating to early childhood care and educationEstablish, develop, and maintain professional working relationships with all external agencies, including TUSLA and the Early Intervention TeamReview and monitor occupancy levels to ensure they are maintained to maximum capacity levelsTo ensure the building is maintained to a high level of hygieneTo be the Designated First Aid PersonTo be the Deputy Designated Child Protection Liaison PersonTo be the Designated Fire Safety PersonTo be available to the Early Years inspector during inspections and ensure all appropriate information is suppliedRequirements: Must obtain a minimum level 6 in childcare, Level 7/8 PreferredMinimum of 3 years post qualification experience working in an early years setting, preferably in a supervisory or leadership roleDemonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of inclusive early childhood education and careDemonstrable and detailed knowledge of current legislation relevant to the early yearsIf the above job description sounds like you and you are ready to take the next step in your career, please follow the link & apply; we can't wait to hear from you!
