In this position, you will offer comprehensive care and support to children in need of a secure and nurturing home environment, ensuring their well-being and fostering a sense of stability and safety.

By doing so, we enable them to develop new coping skills that can enhance their interactions within their families, educational settings, workplaces, and in their broader futures.
We are now recruiting Social Care workers to join our panel for full-time/part time work in Care Services in the Galway Region.

Work with all clients and endeavour to win their trust and respect, be proactive in addressing difficult or problematic situations as they arise in a sensitive and direct manner.
Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of social work programs for children according to professional standards and to keep abreast of developments in the field.
Work effectively both within the team and as a lone worker.
Manage the children's needs to ensure the highest professional standards using an evidence-based, care planning approach.
Promote opportunities for young people to use their own strengths and expertise to enable them to address any issues they have Participate in the multi-disciplinary/healthcare team and work in co-operation and collaboration with team members.
Provide practical support and assistance to children.
Foster an environment where young people can grow and flourish under your care.
Available to work during the night.
Ideal Candidate: Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the following: Social Care Social Work Health and Social Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy Youth & Community Teaching Nursing Social Science Addiction Counselling Counselling / Psychotherapy Family Support Disability Studies Applied Behavioural Analysis Early Years Care +1 years experience within the Social Care Field Flexible and Adaptable Nature Trustworthy, Confident, Committed, Kind & Punctual Weekday & Weekend Availability Car and Full License Preferred Solid Verbal and Written Communication Skills For more information, please call 091706694 and speak to Andrew The above Job Description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties.
