Purpose of the Post The post of RANP/c/ANP has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, recovery orientated, high quality, team based, integrated care for children and young people with mental illness.
The purpose of the role is to provide assessment and support the individual through the delivery of appropriate treatment and recovery orientated interventions to work towards reduction in the need for acute hospitalisation.
The main purpose of this RANP/cANP post is to
• To support the development of a comprehensive CAMHS SYSTEMIC FAMILY THERAPY service to improve services and supports for children /young people and their family/guardians, to meet the increased demand placed on community mental health services.
• To support the implementation/expansion of the Nursing SYSTEMIC FAMILY THERAPY Service in line with best practice and the standardised operating procedure.
• In conjunction with the Clinical Director and Senior Nursing Leadership Team the RANP/c/ANP will develop protocols to support the development of CAMHS Nursing SYSTEMIC FAMILY THERAPY service, which ensures equity of service to all children and young people using the service
• To ensure that there is a responsive approach to the mental health needs of the child or young person experiencing an SYSTEMIC FAMILY THERAPY
• Ensure good links between Community CAMHS Teams, Paediatric Liaison Teams and Primary Care / Community Supports
