This post is responsible for the delivery/coordination of rehabilitative training and all HSE funded day services for adults with disabilities under the management of Disability services in Dublin South Kildare and West Wicklow.

The Disability Services Department provides a range of services, within available resources, to people with intellectual and physical & sensory disabilities.
Individuals, in addition to accessing generic health services, may also access specialist disability services provided by external Agencies which are funded by HSE.
The Disability Services Department works with and in conjunction with all other relevant Departments.
A further outline of some of the services includes basic health services as well as assessments, rehabilitation, community care and residential care, respite, home care and day care.

Some services are provided directly by the HSE but many of the community, residential and rehabilitative training services are provided by voluntary organisations (section 38 & section 39) with grant aid from the HSE.
