Civil Design Engineer

Job DescriptionOur client is Ireland's leading civil & structural engineering consultancy.As a civil engineer you will be working as part of a team on the design of drainage, water and roads for a range of major projects.Preparation of contract specifications and drawingsSurveying and site inspectionsPreparation and Review of preliminary designs and reports using a variety of computer packages and subsequent preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications.Contribute to the project team on a day to day basisDirect communication and meetings with ClientsImplementing the company's ISO policies and proceduresAssist in the Preparation of tendersRequirementsHonours degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.Minimum of 3 years experience in a design office environment.It is a preference that candidates would have some experience/familiarity of working with the Civils 3D package.An excellent understanding of the engineering principles behind drainage, roads and water system design.Experience in compiling engineering planning documentation for major projects.Experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments.Familiarity with DMURS.Traffic analysis experience is beneficial.IT skills – including MS Word, Excel, basic AutoCAD skills + company design software packages including Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, TRICs, Tuflow, HEC-RAS, EPANet.Experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments.Experience in the preparation of Traffic & Transportation Assessments and Mobility Management Plans.PackageSalary in line with experience - 35k - 55kCommitment to ongoing training and developmentAnnual profitability / performance related bonus schemeAnnual Salary reviewLife InsurancePension SchemeOne-to-one mentoring systemFlexi-timeAn active Sports and Social ClubTraining and Continued Professional Development (CPD) which is accredited by Engineers IrelandGenerous Annual Leave AllowanceFamily-Friendly Working PoliciesFull access to our Bank at Work ServiceBike-To-Work SchemeStaff wellness events (eg.
