Job DescriptionOur client is a multi-disciplined international engineering consultancy, currently undergoing rapid growth in Ireland.They are seeking experienced engineers to support and deliver existing and new high-profile projects.
You will be central to the water & drainage team, assisting in the delivery of projects for key public and private sector clients in Ireland and further afield.Report to Line Manager / Business Unit Leader.Work as part of an integrated team to deliver various projects on programme for our clients.Carry out site inspections and prepare reports with recommendations including design calculations, drawings, estimates and construction packs.Present reports at client meetings for review and discussion.Assist others within the company in delivering projects, as may be required.Further develop and broaden your existing competencies to Chartered Engineer Level.
Requirements Level 8 degree in Civil / Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
A post graduate Level 9 Masters would be advantageous.A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the design/delivery of one or more of the following – water networks, wastewater collection systems, water & wastewater treatment infrastructure, surface water collection & management systems, flood defence infrastructure.Actively progressing to Chartered status would be advantageousMembership of a professional body such as Engineers Ireland or Institute of Civil EngineersCandidates should have a background of working within the Water Services or Flooding & Drainage sectors and demonstrate experience of successful delivery on projects.Possess a high level of technical capability.A track record in the delivery of water services projectsWorking knowledge of typical contract formsExperience in the preparation of construction contract documents and related technical specifications for water services or flooding & drainage infrastructureExperience of working as part of Employer-led and/or Contractor-led design teamsExcellent IT skills, familiar with relevant computer applications; MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel)Experience in the use of civil engineering design packages e.g., CAD (Civil 3D preferable) and relevant simulation software (e.g., EPANET, WinDes, Infoworks, etc;)Knowledge of BIM would be advantageous.Good communication and interpersonal skills to allow you to work effectively within your team and liaise with clients Package Salary €55,000 - €65,000 23 days holiday increasing with service + bank holidaysCompany pension schemeDisability SchemeShare Purchase SchemeCycle to Work Scheme Health Screening Employee Assistance ProgrammeProfessional MembershipSponsored Education
