Role: Civils Site Manager/Foreman Are you an experienced Civils Site Manager or Foreman looking for a key leadership role in Dublin?
Our client, a leading construction firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to oversee all on-site activities and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
A Civils background is essential for this position.
Role Location: Dublin Role Overview: As the Construction Site Manager/Foreman, you will lead the site team and manage all contractors and operatives to ensure seamless project execution.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager and Senior Management, you'll play a critical role in day-to-day operations while driving long-term strategic goals, ensuring both safety and quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management & Reporting: Provide weekly and monthly updates to the project management team on schedules and subcontractor progress.
Team Leadership: Manage site staff, subcontractors, and all contractors, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
On-Site Coordination: Guide construction operatives through each project phase, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Collaboration with Senior Management: Work closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Manager, and Director to meet and exceed business objectives and project goals.
Site Operations Management: Oversee daily on-site activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with company standards.
Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ): Implement on-site health and safety procedures and support the SHEQ team in maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Construction Programming: Establish and manage construction programs in coordination with the Project Manager.
Technical Compliance: Review and ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
Documentation & Communication: Manage RFIs, Technical Submittals, and maintain registers on the company's IMS system.
Issue daily progress reports and ensure all records are up to date.
Resource Management: Assess and manage resource needs, motivating the team to consistently deliver high-quality work.
Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and materials, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulations.
Commercial Insight: Collaborate with the QS and project team to manage costs and achieve company objectives.
Subcontractor Management: Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, and Services Coordinator to ensure subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with all local statutory and regulatory obligations.
Safety & Induction: Ensure all site operatives are inducted and have necessary certifications (e.g., Safepass, Manual Handling, CSCS).
Incident Management: Record and investigate any accidents/incidents according to company procedures.
Document Control: Maintain and update all relevant documentation, permits, and records on the company's document control systems, such as Procore.
Logistics & Planning: Organize materials storage, deliveries, and site logistics, including craneage and traffic management, to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills Required: Proven experience in a Construction Site Manager or Foreman role within various construction projects.
Experience with Civils Work Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating site teams and contractors.
In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and best practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders.
Proficient in IT systems for document control, reporting, and project management (e.g., Procore).
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Experience with construction programming and scheduling.
Relevant certifications, including Safepass and Manual Handling.
A proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
