Clinical Nurse Manager

St Catherine's Nursing Home is now recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Manager working 40 hours per week.
Eligibility Criteria         Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
        Experience as a Senior Staff Nurse/ Acting CNM is essential.
        Evidence of continuous professional development.
        Management course is desirable.
        Previous staff management is an advantage.
        Strong management abilities and leadership skills and the ability to work on own initiative.
        Experience in care of the elderly would be an advantage.
        Have a detailed knowledge of the HIQA standards / regulations and Health Act 2007.
        Be fluent in English (verbal and written) and be an effective communicator with good interpersonal skills, self-confidence and organisational ability.
        Be eligible to work in Ireland.
Core Responsibilities         Communicate and work in co-operation with the multi-disciplinary team in providing an integrated quality service taking the lead role as required.
        Policy implementation, Care plans, medication management and staff management will be part of daily duties.
        Be responsible for standards of professional and clinical practice.
        Document client records in accordance with professional standards and Nursing Home policies.
        To work effectively and efficiently in terms of time management, personal organization and adherence to organizational policies and work procedures.
        To co-ordinate efficient and effective resource utilization and staffing levels (skill mix, staffing, bed occupancy etc.)
        To communicate with residents, families/carers, G.P's, Public Health Nurses or anyone else involved in resident's care to ensure a patient-focused service.
        To ensure all Health & Safety statutory requirements and Fire procedures are complied with and that incidents are reported and investigated in accordance with established (HSE & HIQA) standards and requirements.
        To assist in the process of Clinical Risk Management.
