Description: Cpl Healthcare is seeking applications for the role of Clinical Nurse Specialist, Oncology at a leading Cork City Hospital.
This is a permanent role where the successful applicant would be joining a dynamic team and professional service within a well established hospital setting.The hospital provides cancer services to a large regional catchment area and encompasses diagnosis, staging and all aspects of cancer treatment.
The service extends to an active clinical trials unit, offering a range of international and investigator-initiated studies.
All consultant medical oncologists (3) and haematologists (2) have extensive medical oncology training within Ireland and at internationally recognised cancer centres.
Along with the teams of nurses on the inpatient and day wards, the Clinical Nurse Specialists will support palliative care, oncology liaison, triage and clinical trials.This role requires the successful applicant to: Be on the general division of the NMBI register.A minimum of 3-5 years post registration experience in oncologyA management qualification is desirable.A postgraduate qualification in Oncology/Haematology Nursing or similarPreceptorship/teaching and assessing of students and junior staff experience is also essentialFor further details on the role, please contact Catherine Hoban on:T: + 353 21 4626138E:
