What is the Role: Reporting to the relevant domain security architect, the job holder will provide support within the Security Architecture team, contributing to the design of security technology architecture to safeguard the Bank's IT systems, network, and applications from current and emerging threats during development and maintenance cycles, with a primary focus on the organization's cloud environments. The successful candidate will help implement security strategy and target security architectures, patterns, and roadmaps.
The successful candidate will work closely with Security Product owners and project teams, supporting the alignment of our applications, products and services to our architectural and security targets. The role holder will be responsible for working across various cloud platforms, including public, private, and hybrid models, to assess risks and ensure that cloud controls safeguard the organization's critical assets and sensitive data. They will ensure that the Security Products are aligned to targets and security architecture will be responsible for the roadmap of those targets.
Key accountabilities: Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and cybersecurity specialists to assess risks and ensure the implementation of effective cloud security controls. Be a security contact for projects during planning, analysis and design phases, providing support in security technology and processes. Help maintain and update target security architecture documents and associated roadmaps based on security, IT and business strategies. Engage in threat modelling, authentication mechanisms, authorisation procedures, auditing/logging, user administration and access control. Plan and design the delivery of security within solutions hosted on-premise, on cloud infrastructure and in mobile applications. 5+ years working in the technology domain with an engineering background with proven experience in solution design and technical architecture. 3+ years working in an IT Security discipline. 3rd Level qualification in IT related discipline is preferred. Holds one of the following Information Security qualifications: CSSLP, CEH or CA. Good experience in painting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action. Good presentation and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex strategies and technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences at senior levels.
