What you'll do Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller and as a senior member of the finance team you will be responsible for maximising profitability of the business through commercial awareness and input into the key strategic decision-making processes.
Fantastic communication is vital, so ensuring effective and timely communication of business performance and potential opportunities to all levels of management within the organisation's processes and timelines are essential.
As is analysing key performance indicators, benchmarking and reviewing P&L reports with a view to making recommendations to optimise the business performance.
You will generate financial report and statements for key stakeholders and will have full ownership of all aspects of the financial reporting, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and day to day finance operations.
Other key tasks are participation in the month end accounts processes in conjunction with key departments, as per company standards signing off the monthly balance sheet.
Validating the internal controls and offering positive assurance on controls within the business.
Involvement in key projects to improve performance within the department and business is another area of continued focus.

Being able to understand, interpret financial reports and able to communicate this data via written and verbal skills is key to this role but it's not always that straight forward so the use the of innovative ways of thinking are always helpful to ensure that we have all the right solutions.
The role will require you to be both proactive and confident working on you own initiative.
You will thrive and be at your best in a fast-paced environment, having the ability to prioritise work, have a keen eye for detail and work to challenging deadlines.
The clincher, ultimately you will be responsible for profitability, risk management and internal control, analysis & reporting to properties and central management.
