Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Opportunity - Cardiac Theatre   We are currently inviting applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Manager 1 for Cardiac Theatre in line with the development of the Cardiothoracic service and Intensive care unit at Mater Private Cork.
  The Clinical Nurse Manager I will, under the guidance of the CNMII, coordinate and lead a team of staff in the implementation and provision of the highest quality patient care. He/she will be responsible for the quality of patient care in their area, manage resources, lead the team and be accountable for nursing activity in their area. He/she must as a role model promote best practice in the delivery of nursing care and provide clinical expertise and support within the Inter Disciplinary Team. Support, assist and facilitate colleagues in achieving specific Critical Success Factors as developed for the department.
  Candidate Requirements include:         Registered General Nurse         Be on the live register with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
        Demonstrable commitment to patient Safety & Quality         Up to date knowledge and experience of Theatre practises.
        Minimum of 3 years post registration clinical experience Minimum 3 years experience in a people management role.
        Management Qualification preferable or willing to undertake         Proven leadership and change management skills         Excellent knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and skills         Ability to make decisions with excellent organisational skills   Applications should be put in writing and submitted with a current CV to Hilary Ryan, Human Resources or to ******.
