Key Responsibilities You will assist and counsel all members of the clinical and non-clinical teams with your professional knowledge. Collaborate closely with related acute hospitals and community partners. Provide an efficient, effective, and high-quality service, respecting the needs of community staff, service users, family, and/or career. Effectively manage time and workload to meet changing and developing service needs. In collaboration with the ADON IPC continually monitor the service to ensure it reflects current needs. Implement and manage identified changes. Monitor, access, utilize, and disseminate current relevant research to advise and ensure the provision of informed evidence-based practice. Collate data in line with locally agreed performance indicators and metrics which will provide evidence of the effectiveness of interventions undertaken Evaluate audit results and research findings to identify areas for quality improvement in collaboration with service managers and IPC team colleagues Requirements Registered Nurse with current licensure in Ireland. Recognized qualification or training in Infection prevention and control preferred or working towards same. possess a minimum of 2-3 years of Clinical Nursing experience preferably in Infection Prevention and control or in a related field. Strong knowledge of infectious diseases, epidemiology and microbiology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and engage healthcare staff. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems. Benefits Competitive salary in line with HSE qualification and experience.
