CNM | Fern Dean NH | Blackrock, Co Dublin Job Summary: As a Clinical Nurse Manager , you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive and compassionate care to residents living with dementia.
You will lead a team of nurses and healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained while creating a supportive and enriching environment for both patients and families.
Locations: Fern Dean NH, Blackrock, Co. Dublin Working hours: Full- Time, 39 Hours per week Contract: Permanent The CNM duties includes but not limited to: Provide mentorship and preceptorship for Nursing colleagues as appropriate.
Maintain clinical competence in the management of people with dementia, keeping up-to-date with relevant research to ensure the implementation of evidence based practice.
Responsible to meet the aims of dementia/cognitive impairment care within the residential home.
Ensure that all interventions in response to non-cognitive symptoms of dementia are reviewed regularly, and demonstrably inform leaning and practice development.

Provide leadership in clinical practice and act as a resource and role model.
Working collaboratively with fellow healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
Foster positive relationships with residents and their families, providing emotional support and guidance throughout their dementia journey.
Serve as an advocate for residents, ensuring their voices are heard and their preferences are respected in all aspects of care delivery.
Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives to stay abreast of advancements in dementia care and nursing practice.
Contribute to the development and implementation of dementia-friendly initiatives within the organization.
Exceptional empathy and communication skills, with the ability to connect with residents and their families on a personal level.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on person-centered care.
Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards challenges and opportunities in dementia care.
Experience/Requirements Must be a registered nurse on the live register of nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, NMBI.
Must have (within the last 6 years) a minimum 5 years' post registration nursing experience, with relevant experience in the Dementia care.
Must have nursing experience to include experience in a nursing management post.
Must have a Post Graduate (Level 8/9) clinical qualification in Dementia or Gerontology, and should have a Post-registration qualification in healthcare management or equivalent or be prepared to acquire same within a defined time frame.
