An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Account Director with one of my Clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and prospects, with a primary focus on client retention and driving new business growth. You will develop and nurture client relationships, expanding the portfolio within the business, and play a key role in converting new prospects. They will consider people living in Cork, Galway or Limerick.
Key ResponsibilitiesGain a deep understanding of clients' businesses and their insurance or risk placement needs.Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders across the industry.Provide expert advice and insights on technical and industry-specific matters.Liaise with clients and insurers to foster and maintain robust partnerships.Take a proactive approach during the renewal process to ensure exceptional service and effective account management.Participate actively in the sales process, contributing to the acquisition of new clients.Build and manage a pipeline of prospects, leveraging tools like Microsoft Dynamics.Respond efficiently and accurately to inquiries about new business opportunities.Collaborate with colleagues across departments to identify and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities.Work closely with the Broking service team, offering direction and support as needed.Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices within the team.Ensure consistency and high standards in work practices and processes across the team.RequirementsAt least 3 years of experience in an Account Director/Executive or equivalent role within insurance broking.Degree-level education preferred.CIP qualification required; ACII qualification would be an asset.Willingness to travel to different locations as necessary.Proven ability to deliver outstanding client service.Practical knowledge of account development strategies and relevant tools.Strong understanding of insurance markets and the ability to meet both client and business needs effectively.Experience in driving new business, with a demonstrated ability to convert prospects into long-term clients.Excellent relationship-building skills with clients, prospects, colleagues, insurers, and external partners.Ability to represent the business with professionalism, integrity, and credibility.Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.This role offers a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact and grow within a dynamic environment.
