This RoleThe Commercial Affairs Manager/Executive will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the commercial and legal aspects of the organisation. This position involves handling contract management, insurance coordination, project management, stakeholder engagement, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication, all while contributing to the successful achievement of the organisation's goals.
Responsibilities:Contract Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of contracts, including drafting, negotiation, execution, and compliance. Ensure contracts align with organisational goals and adhere to legal requirements.Insurance Coordination: Handle insurance policies, claims, and risk management. Collaborate with insurance providers to secure appropriate coverage for the organisation.Project Management: Lead and coordinate commercial projects from inception to completion. Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, legal teams, and senior management. Build and maintain strong relationships to facilitate successful business outcomes.Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data related to commercial activities. Make informed decisions based on financial insights.Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal standards, and company policies.Negotiation Skills: Demonstrate effective negotiation skills in dealing with contracts, pricing, and other commercial matters.Problem-Solving: Address complex issues related to commercial operations, contracts, and project challenges.Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to various audiences.Tender Management: Develop and manage tender processes, including preparing and submitting tenders in alignment with the company's strategic objectives in partnership with account managers and the business development manager. Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of all tender documents, including requests for proposals (RFPs), requests for quotations (RFQs), and invitations to tender (ITT). Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, procurement, and technical departments, to gather required information and ensure all tender submissions are complete and accurate.New Country Setup & Expansion: Understand and research the legal, financial, and operational requirements for expanding into new countries. Work closely with the operations team to ensure they understand the regulatory and compliance requirements for the new country. Assist in the transition process, ensuring a smooth move into new business ventures or entering a new country market. Ensure that the organisation meets all local legal and compliance standards when expanding into new territories.Candidate RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.OR Relevant work experience in commercial affairs, contract management, or project management.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.The remunerating package, including salary and benefits, is negotiable depending on experience.
